Profile
We provide free support to third-party victims of serious sexual & violent crime throughout the UK.
We provide practical & emotional support to anyone who cares for or cares about someone who has survived sexual abuse, sexual violence or other serious violence. We work through a lead carer within the family to ensure that everyone in the family unit is supported, including siblings. Our service is for individuals who find themselves in a caring role, even if they do not consider themselves to be ‘a carer.’
The needs of those closest to a primary victim are often overlooked, however, through our work, we have found that by supporting the forgotten victims (third-party victims), we enable them to fulfil their caring roles more effectively & are helping to improve outcomes for entire families navigating trauma.
Restitute is a lived experience organisation meaning we provide trauma-informed care. Our team members have survived these types of crimes. This shared understanding enables us to deliver a sincere & impactful service to individuals facing similar challenges.
We offer training & consultation services in businesses & workplaces
Whether you provide services to people who may be third-party victims of crime or if amongst your staff are people who are caring in complex and challenging circumstances, Restitute can offer training and consultation services to ensure that the people that matter to your organisation receive the support they need.
We offer training to organisations that count third-party victims of crime amongst their services users. The reality is – if you serve the public – you will be working with people who have suffered violent or sexual crime and the people who care for them.
Whilst the focus is on third-party (indirect) victims of crime, our training is also pertinent and relevant for any organisation that needs to engage carers particularly where there is multi-agency involvement.
Our training is bespoke – we tailor it to the needs and priorities of your organisation and the staff who will receive it. We are confident working with 16+ learners through to senior management and board level.
We offer consultation and support services to workplaces, institutions and agencies who need to support staff or service users who may be third-party victims of crime.
